Ray Quigley's best known work was as the illustrator of the Gus Wilson stories (for more information go to www.gus-stories.org )that were a regular part of Popular Science magazine for years. As Ray's grand-nephew I have the good fortune to have access to some of the original illustrations used in the series. He also did the illustrations for several grammer school text books, Boy's Life magazine, some science fiction magazines and a Golden Book.
I am very interested in finding a Nestle's CoCoa tin from the 70's that he did. It had a camping scene and had a boy in shorts and a jacket standing near a camp fire.
If you know what year and month any of these illustrations appeared in Popular Science PLEASE. PLEASE let me know.
If you are selling any Ray Quigley original artwork please e-mail me.
I will be updating this page with more illustrations and a full bio as I get time.
I can be e-mailed at dcyale@dcyale.com
Please be patient as some weeks I only am able to answer e-mail once.
