- Went to Chicago in the early 1850's in the wholesale cape and hatbuisness, for Weber, Williams and Yale. After the great Chicago Fireof 1871 was he engaged in the real estate buisness, and interested inrebuilding the burned sections. He was a treasurer of the fourthpresbyterian Church of Chicago for many years of his life.
